Overview
High-quality assessment is a central driver of effective teaching, responsive planning, and improved student outcomes. Across the UAE, evaluation frameworks used by KHDA, the UAE Ministry of Education (MOE), and ADEK consistently emphasise not only the collection of assessment data, but how effectively it is interpreted, applied, and used to improve learning over time.

This professionally designed workshop, conducted in Arabic, supports teachers and school leaders in developing a coherent, evidence-informed approach to assessment and data use, moving beyond compliance and reporting toward purposeful interpretation and informed action. Participants explore how internal and external assessment information can be used to:

– Evaluate attainment and progress,
– Identify learning strengths and gaps,
– Inform curriculum and lesson planning,
– And refine teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.

A particular focus is placed on assessment as a tool for learning, enabling students to understand success criteria, reflect on their progress, and take increasing responsibility for improvement. The workshop emphasises practical, classroom-ready strategies that strengthen teaching quality, promote consistency, and ensure assessment meaningfully supports learning and engagement.
